Truck owner accuses Mizoram of favouring contractors

Aizawl, Nov 13: Mizoram Truck Owners Association (MTOA) has charged the Food, Civil supplies&Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) department with bias to the carrying contractors.

MTOA officials stated the FCS&CA had re-tender for carrying contracts for routes to four western Mizoram villages just because two truck owners had quoted figure that was lower than those quote by carrying contracts. It also added that this was a ploy of carrying contractors to monopolise for the routes in the state.
