RJD submits CMP to Jharkhand govt
Ranchi, Nov 13 (UNI) The RJD has served a Common Minimum Programme (CMP) to Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda demanding formation of various commissions for welfare of the backward people of the state.
The CMP among others underlined the need for formation of a hunger commission, an employment commission and the commission for handicapped people.
Party's state president Gautam Sagar Rana today told reporters here that the government might do something with the demand and and announce on November 15, the foundation day for Jharkhand.
Mr Rana said the UPA's other allies like the Congress and JMM would also submit their own CMPs adding a separate CMP would be prepared by the UPA's steering committee incorporating the important points focussed by the partners.
" Minorities were ignored in the regime of erstwhile NDA government of the state therefore we have focussed on them and demanded to constitute a minority commission in 30 days'' Mr Rana said.
He said RJD supremo and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad would be the chief guest on November 15.
He said the extremism was one of the obstacles in the development of the state adding the party demanded the government should chalk out its rehabilitation policy for displaced people within three months.
The RJD also demanded formation of Regional Developments Authorities in five divisional headquarters of the state and a college for local artisans.
