ICA to invest 200 cr next fiscal, open 100 centres
Kolkata, Nov 13: The Institute of Computer Accounts(ICA) will invest Rs 200 crore in the next financial year to set up 100 new centres across the country.
''We are planning to open 100 new centres. In next one year we will have new centres in Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. We had started with only five centres in the Eastern region. Now the total number of centres are 250,'' ICA Chairman N.K.
Shyamsukha told newspersons here today.
''The institute currently has 40,000 students. We are planning to increase it by another one lakh. We will open 24 placement offices in different parts of the country by March 2007,'' he said.
He elaborated on an innovative recruitment procedure. ''After enrolling, every student would get Any Time Job (ATJ) card and by using this card in any of our twenty four placement offices, they will get jobs any time and any where in the country,'' he mentioned.
The ICA has offered 27,986 cards in the first six months and all these card holders would get jobs, he added.
After completion of the one-year course, the institute provided industrial training as well, the chairman said.
The institute has already placed more than 25,000 students in companies like BSNL, PEPSI, KOTAK, Standard Chartered etc, he added.
