Former corporator dies in road accident, four injured
Rajkot, Nov 13 (UNI) Businessman and former corporator of Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) Pravinbhai Parmar was killed and four others were injured when a car carrying them plunged into 15 foot deep pit from a bridge near Tramba, about 20 km from here, early today.
According to the police, the deceased Pravinbhai (52), his friend Ashokbhai Soni and three children were returning to Rajkot from Mahuva after a darshan of ''goddess'' when the incident occurred.
Mr Parmar, who was driving the car, lost control of the wheel while negotiating a sharp curve and the vehicle fell from the bridge, the police said.
The injured were taken to a private hospital here where one of the children's condition was stated to be serious, the police added.
