Decision on bail plea of Srinagar sex scandal accused reserved

Chandigarh, Nov 13 (UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court here today reserved the judgment on the bail applications of former Jammu and Kashmir minister Raman Mattoo, BSF DIG K G Padhi and other accused in the Srinagar sex scandal case.

The decision was reserved by Justice Rajive Bhalla at the conclusion of day-long arguments by CBI standing counsel Rajan Gupta, who reiterated opposition to the grant of bail to the accused.

The CBI counsel submitted that the accused were inlfuential persons and could tamper with the evidence and influence the witnesses.

The accused are presently lodged at the burail Central Jail here.
