Tipsy youth stays trapped for 20 hours in water tank

Thane, Nov 12 (UNI) In an incident reminiscent of ''Prince'', the Haryana child who was trapped inside a pit for 50 hours, a youth here had to spend 20 hours in an abandoned water tank in the city.

According to fire brigade sources, 20-year-old Srikanth Prabhakar Jadhav had perched himself atop an abandoned water tank with a bottle of liqour in the Balkum area of the city.

A tipsy Srikanth lost control and slipped into the 20-feet tank which, fortunately, had no water.

A hungry and thirsty Srikanth had to spend 20 hours inside the tank before help finally arrived. A local boy spotted him and alerted the fire brigade officials who pulled him out of the tank with the help of a rope.
