Speaking to newspersons after dedicating the Electromagnetic Display Board (EDB), which displayed the pollution levels in the city, he said the policy was being formulated in view of the decision taken by the government to form Greater Bangalore project.

The EDB displayed, apart from time, temperature and humidity, presence of suspended particulate matter (SPM), Oxides of Sulphur and Nitrogen and Carbon Monoxide in the air. The data would be provided by KSPCB.
KSPCB had plans to install such boards in six other places in the city. The present facility was installed by GAIL as part of its corporate social responsibility.
