Entire population leaves village on account of 'Vastu'
Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, Nov 12 (UNI) One has heard of stories of people making alterations in their houses to suit the requisites of 'Vastu.' But the entire population of a village in this district was moving out as the people suspect that the village did not confirm to the requirements of 'Vastu'.
The people in Gondipalle village, 15 km from Penugonda, a mandal headquarters in this district were of the belief that ill-luck was befalling on the village as the shadow of a hill situated on the Eastern side was falling on their houses.
The village had 50 houses and a population of 150. The villagers had submitted a memorandum to the Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) and the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) urging for provision of alternate sites to them.
However, as the revenue authorities had not responded the villagers were leaving the village to settle down elsewhere.
