Congress condemns attempt to set church afire in Karnataka

Dharwad, Nov 12 (UNI) Leader of opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Council H K Patil today condemned the act of miscreants who attempted to set on fire a church in the city yesterday.

Talking to newspersons here after visiting the church in Nirmal Nagar area, the Congress leaders said miscreants who had came on a motorcycle had tried to set on fire the doors of the church, which had lead to tension for some time in the area.

He said he would take up the matter with the state government soon.
