World Bank allots Rs 600 crore for Govt hospitals

Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu Nov 11 (UNI) World Bank has allotted Rs 600 crore under the Tamil Nadu Health Development Plan for the modernisation of all Government Hospitals in the State, according to Kancheepuram Government Headquarters Hospital Joint Director S Kumar.

Talking to newspersons here today, Dr Kumar said the World Bank has allotted Rs 50 crore for the modernisation of eight Government Hospitals at Tambaram, Madurantagam, Sreeperumbudur, Cheyyur, Uttharamerur, Thirukazhukundram, Mamallapuram and Kancheepuram.

He said some old buildings adjacent to Government hospitals would be refurbished at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore.
