UAE's DIC says may sell Daimler shares at 45-50 euros

ABU DHABI, Nov 11 (Reuters) State-owned Dubai International Capital said on Saturday it was considering selling some of its shares in DaimlerChrysler now that the U.S.-German auto maker's shares were trading in a 45-50 euro (.92-64.36) range.

''At these levels, between 45 and 50 (euros), we believe there is an opportunity to do a partial exit,'' DIC Chief Executive Sameer al-Ansari told reporters in Abu Dhabi.

DIC bought about 20 million DaimlerChrysler shares in January 2005 at 32 euros each.

Ansari did not say how many shares the Dubai government investment arm was considering selling, or when.

Dubai is one of seven emirates in the United Arab Emirates federation.
