TTD police station to be set up in Tirumala

Tirumala, Nov 11 (UNI) To strengthen TTD Vigilance Department and Security at Tirumala, Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam(TTD) Trust Board, today resolved to establish a TTD-owned Special Police station at Tirumala hills.

The board meeting was held under the Chairmanship of B Karunakar Reddy.

Talking to newspersons here, he said TTD vigilance were now finding it difficult in tackling the crime and booking cases aganist corrupt people.

Mr Reddy said the Board also decided to develop the historical temples at an estimated cost of Rs 25 lakh.

The 1500 seating capacity at annadhanam complex would be increased to 3,500, he said.

The board would also take a decison to provide a laddu at Rs five instead of Rs ten to the handicapped persons, following darshan, he added.
