Sonia Gandhi to attend lunch at the Royal Laeken Castle
London, Nov 11 (UNI) UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi on the second day of her visit to Brussels, will have lunch with King Albert II and Queen of Belgium at the Royal Laeken Castle.
The others attending the lunch include Prince Philippe, Princess Mathilda, Prime Minister Guy Varhofstadt and Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht.
After lunch she will inaugurate Tejas, an exhibition showcasing Indian sculpture dating from the third century BC to the 12th Century AD at the Palais de Beaux Arts at BOZAR India, a multifaceted festival organised in Brussels, Belgium.
At BOZAR she will be welcomed by the Belgian Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Viscount E Davignon, Dr Karan Singh, Ms Ambika Soni and Paul Dujardin. There she will sign the Golden Book.
Later Ms Gandhi will be conferred Garnd Officer of the Order of Leopold by the Belgian Prime Minister which is one of three Belgian national honorary orders and the country's highest military order.
She will also receive an honorary doctorate ''Honoris Causa'' of Vrije Universitiet, Brussels (Free University of Brussels), from Professor B Van Camp, Rector of VUB, at BOZAR.
She will then tour the exhibition conducted by Ranesh Ray and Jan Van Alphen, co-curators.
At night she will attend a private dinner hosted by the Belgian Prime Minister.
Ms Gandhi will be leaving for India tomorrow afternoon.
