Rs 1.83 cr at stake at Mysore winter meeting

Mysore, Nov 11 (UNI) A prize money of Rs 1.83 crore will be at stake during the 16-day Mysore winter races, scheduled to commence here on November 15.

In a release here, Mysore Race Club Secretary K G Anantharaj Urs said about 350 horses were expected to participate in the races.

Trainers licenced by the Bangalore Turf Club and Mysore Turf Club would bring their wards. Jockeys licensed by the Bangalore Turf Club would don the silks.

The races would be held on wednesdays and would conclude on March six, 2007, he said.
