Madhukar to head state unit of RLD
Ranchi, Nov 11 (UNI) Mr Madhukar Singh has been elected the state president of Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) in Jharkhand.
An official announcement would be done in New Delhi by Ajeet Singh, party's national president.
Anwaar Ahmed, in-charge of party affairs in Jharkhand and former MP, told reporters here Mr Singh was elected unanimously by the party workers and it was a step towards strengthening RLD's base in Jharkhand.
Mr Ahmad, who also inaugurated the state party office in the capital, said the pace of development in the state was low and problems like unemployment and poverty remained.
Accusing the UPA backed Madhu Koda government of 'ignoring' rural areas, he said the public distribution system there had collapsed and more attention should be paid to those areas.
