Bomb threat in Vidhana Soudha proves to be hoax
Bangalore, Nov 11 (UNI) The city police today mounted a massive search for explosives in Vidhana Soudha, the Karnataka State Secretariat, following a threat call received this morning.
However, a three-hour search of the massive stone structure by the police with the help of the dog squad yielded no explosives.
The search was mounted following a call received by a guard at the Vidhana Soudha that a bomb kept inside the premises would explode any time. Explosive experts and dog squads were rushed to the spot.
Being second Saturday, a Government holiday, the Vidhana Soudha had little attendance today.
Investigation was on to trace the caller, police said.
