UP assembly approves 3rd supplementary budget of Rs 179 crore
Lucknow, Nov 10 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh assembly today approved the third supplementary budget proposal to the tune of Rs 179.92 crore, which was tabled in the house.
Earlier, the Mulayam Singh Yadav government has already taken recourse in two supplementary budgets of about Rs 4512 crore in the months of May and August last.
State Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mohd Azam Khan tabled the supplementary budget in presence of the Chief Minister, who also holds the Finance portfolio.
In the third supplementary budget, Rs 100 crore is earmarked for development of roads and bridges, Rs seven crore for Tiger Protection Society and Rs 15 crore for inclusion of 1,000 junior high schools under the government grant.
The budget was passed in the house without discussion.
