3 killed, SPO wounded in Kashmir
Srinagar, Nov 10: Three persons, two of them women, were killed and a Special Police Officer (SPO) was wounded in different militancy related incidents in the Kashmir valley overnight, a police spokesman said.
He said militants hurled a grenade on the guard deployed at the residence of Nazir Ahmad Mir alias Sadam, a former militant at Wusan in Ganderbal last night.
It exploded near the main gate causing injuries to SPO Bashir Ahmed. Militants later managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
Panic gripped Lala Ded hospital near here when the body of a youth Shamshad Ahmad Parray was recovered this morning. Police has started investigation, he said.
Police also recovered the body of a woman from Chak Badwani village in the Anantnag district last night while another body of Mst Maryama of Gudaka village was fished out from Power House canal at Sumbal.
