Telgi fears his daughter might be kidnapped

Pune, Nov 10 (UNI) Multi-crore fake stamp paper scam prime accused Abdul Karim Telgi today claimed before the special court here that some co-accused in the case were planning to kidnap his daughter Sana.

Appearing before MCOCA court judge Chitra Bhedi, through video conferencing here today, Telgi said he feared that his daughter may be kidnapped and urged that police protection be provided to her.

Sana is pursuing electronics engineering from a Bangalore college and had topped in the first year.

Telgi alleged that Siraj-ud-din Nasipudi and one Shiv Kumar Singh were hatching a conspiracy to kidnap his daughter. A similar unsuccessful attempt was made by them earlier too, he told the court.

Telgi's lawyer Milind Pawar informed that he would be filing a formal application on November 14 with a request that police protection be provided to Sana.
