Punj Lloyd bags Rs 803.70cr order in Qatar for EPC pipeline

New Delhi, Nov 10 (UNI) Punj Lloyd Ltd (PLL) today bagged a Rs 803.70-crore engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order for the Doha Urban Pipeline Relocations Project (DUPRP) from Qatar Petroleum.

The contract includes laying of 97.2 kms pipeline, 36 inch diameter bi-directional gas and spur pipeline, 12 inch diameter multi-product and 8 inch diameter gas pipeline, three new and six modification stations, decommissioning of the existing pipeline and demolition of nine existing stations.

''Punj Lloyd has a very strong presence in the West Asia particularly in the civil pipeline and process plants segment. With this order, we would further strengthen our foothold in the region,'' Punj Lloyd Chairman Atul Punj said.

With this, the group's total value of unexecuted orders as of September 30, 2006, and new orders received till date stands at Rs 13,394 crore.
