Pawar, Karunakaran to attend 'merger convention' on Nov.12

Kochi, Nov 10 (UNI) Union Agriculture Minister and NCP leader Sharad Pawar and former Kerala Chief Minister and DIC leader K Karunakaran will attend the formal ''merger convention'' of the two parties here on November 12.

Talking to reporters here today, DIC (K) secretary N Venugopal said that more than 100,000 workers of both parties are expected to attend the convention, which will mark the coming together of the two former Congress party stalwarts.

The DIC(K) Seva Dal volunteers will give a guard of honour to Mr Karunakaran, Mr Pawar and DIC(K) president K Muraleedharan, he said.
