Ninety-two injured in train derailment, relief train rushed
Mumbai, Nov 10 (UNI) At least ninety-two passengers were injured when the 113 Surat-Bhusawal train derailed near Kolde station, 10 kms from Navapur, in Maharashtra in the early hours today.
According to railway control room sources, five boggies of the train derailed near the station at 0500 hrs.
A medical relief train rushed to the accident site.
The cause of the accident is not immediately known and the matter is under investigation, the sources said.
The injured have been admitted to the rural hospital in Navapur.
The local primary health centre staff has reached the hospital to render assistance, and the Dhule civil hospital has also been alerted. However, due to the proximity of Surat, they might shift patients there, resident doctors of the hospital said. Medical aid is being administered to the injured and so far there have been no major casualties, they added.
