Nigerian taken to cutody in Coimbatore airport

Coimbatore, Nov 10 (UNI) A Nigerian nationalist two other peopl were taken into custody at the airport when they tried to flee here this afternoon.

Police said Fidlish Adedara (31) a Nigerian national was doing hosiery business in Tirupur alongwith his Indian friends Ajmar and Valampuri. Fidlish was already involved in a fraudulent case in credit card transaction while buying air tickets, police added.

When he was seen in the airport, the city police had identified him and tried to enquire his address. Suddenly he ran towards exit but the police managed to catch him.

Police also took into custody two of his friends. The incident caused tension for a few minutes in the airport.

Police were interrogating them.

It may be recalled that the security at airports has been strengthened following a threatening letter to the Trichy airport stating that the airport would be bursted by using car bombs.
