Mumbai Flight carrying 11 Karnataka ministers diverted to Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Nov 10 (UNI) An Indian Airlines Bangalore-Mumbai flight, carrying eleven Karnataka Ministers, was diverted here as the airstrip in Mumbai was ''over-crowded'', Airport sources said.

The Ministers were on their way to attend the training camp being held for BJP ministers in Mumbai.

Karnataka Higher Education Minister D H Shakaramurthy told UNI that as one of the two airstrips in Mumbai was under repair, the other available strip was very overcrowded. Hence, the flight was diverted here.

''We have been delayed by over four hours, as we were supposed to reach Mumbai around 1230 hrs,'' he added.
