Mizoram send 14 players for national Taekwondo Championship

Aizawl, Nov 10 (UNI) The Mizoram Amateur Taekwondo Association (MATA) has sent 14 players including seven girls and as many boys to participate in the 24th national sub-junior Taekwondo championship 2006 to be held at Ambala, Haryana from November 12-14.

The Mizoram team has left with three referees and two coaches.

MATA has been making preparations to participate in the Assam Olympic Association sponsored 1st NE games 2006 to be held in Guwahati between November 17 and 19.

MATA has been conducting intensive training programmes especially for the senior players and will conclude final selection for participating in the NE games this week.
