Kerala HC posts Rajya Sabha MP Kurian's discharge plea to Nov.16

Kochi, Nov 10 (UNI) The Kerala high court today posted Congress Rajya Sabha member P J Kurian's plea for discharge from the Suryanelli sex scandal case to November 16.

Justice R Basant posted the plea after giving time to the government counsel to get instructions from the state government.

Appealing against the order of the additional sessions court, Thodupuzha, which rejected his discharge petition, Mr Kurian contended that he was innocent and his name was wrongly listed in the array of accused in the 1996 Suryanelli sex scandal.
