Kerala HC directs Kochi Corp. to instal waste bins in 15 days

Kochi, Nov 10 (UNI) The Kerala high court today directed the Kochi Corporation to replace missing waste bins and instal new ones in the city within 15 days.

Disposing off a petition by Mr Dejo Kappan, managing-trustee of the Centre for Consumer Education, a division bench consisting of Chief Justice V K Bali and Justice P R Raman gave leave to the petitioner to file a fresh application, if necessary.

Mr Kappan had moved the high court at the height of the Chikungunya scare in the state, seeking to know from the Corporation what steps it was taking towards waste disposal to check the mosquito menace in the city.
