Kadapa encounter is not fake: Jana Reddy

Tirupati, Nov 10 (UNI) The Kadapa encounter in which Nine naxalites were killed, including a prominent Naxalite Obuleshu, was not a fake one, State Home Minister K Jana Reddy said today.

Addressing press persons at Renegunta airport near here, before leaving to Hyderabad after completion of his 3-day visit to Chittoor district, he said the Naxalites were killing innocent people, including public representatives and their relatives.

Nine Naxalites were killed in an encounter with police, including Obuleshu who was the main accused in the Alipri incident, held during 2004 last, in which TDP President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was injured.

He asked the Naxalites, who escaped in the encounter, to surrender before the police.
