JSEB suffers Rs 200 losses pa due to theft
Ranchi, Nov 10 (UNI) Jharkhand suffers losses of Rs 200 crore per annum due to rising cases of theft alone despite power rates in the state being the lowest in the country.
Jharkhand State Electricvity Board (JSEB) today said at present power losses power to theft were at 57.45 per cent.
However, measures were being taken by the JSEB vigilance to bring the transmission to losses 20 per cent.
It yesterday made random raids at various localities in the state capital and detected a huge number of meter tampering and illegal connection cases among various illegalities.
