JSEB loses Rs 200 crore per annum due to theft
Ranchi, Nov 10 (UNI) Jharkhand loses Rs 200 crore revenue per annum due to power theft alone despite power rates in the state stand at the lowest in the country.
Jharkhand State Electricvity Board (JSEB) today said at present power losses were at 57.45 per cent and attributed it to power theft.
However, measures were being taken by the JSEB vigilance to bring the transmission to 20 per cent.
Meanwhile, the JSEB yesterday made random raids at various localities in the state capital and detected a huge number of cases like meter tampering and illegal connection among various illegalities.
