Canara Bank ties up with SBI to share ATMs

Bangalore, Nov 10 (UNI) Canara Bank and State Bank of India have entered into an agreement to share its ATMs with each other for the benefit of ATM-cum-Debit card holders of both banks.

Under the agreement, the card holders of Canara Bank would have access to over 5,500 ATMs of the State Bank of India and its eight associate banks. Likewise, SBI and its associate banks would have access to 883 ATMs of Canara Bank, a Canara Bank release here said today.

The facilities available were cash withdrawal up to Rs 15,000 and balance enquiry.

Canara Bank had planned to expand its ATM network to 2,000, with the thrust being on offsite ATMs. The bank also had plans to extend many value-added services through ATMs in the coming days, the release added.
