Bomb scare in Paschim Express turns out to be hoax

Ahmedabad, Nov 10 (UNI) A bomb scare in the 2925 Paschim Express turned out to be a hoax after the train was thoroughly checked at Bharuch railway station today.

Following the derailment of 113 DN Surat-Bhusawal passenger train early this morning, the Paschim Express was delayed and reached Bharuch at 1830 hrs instead of the scheduled arrival time of 1625 hrs.

Meanwhile, before the train arrived at Bharuch, there was a message from Vadodara railway control room to Bharuch control room stating that an anonymous call had warned of explosive materials having been placed in the train.

The train was thoroughly checked for an hour but no suspicious objects were found. Thereafter, the train was allowed to leave at around 1945 hrs.
