AFI to conduct trials in 13 events for Doha Asiad

New Delhi, Nov 10 (UNI) Athletics Federation of India (AFI) willconduct four-stage trials in 13 events to enable athletes to qualifyfor the Doha Asian Games.

AFI secretary Lalit Bhanot said here today the trials are being held as, due to heavy rain and bad conditions of track in Chennai during National Inter State Athletics Championships, athletes could not give their best.

The trials are scheduled for November 11, 12, 20 and 30 at Jawahar Lal Nehru stadium here.

November 11: 100m (men), 100m (women), Pole Vault (women), Hammer Throw (women) November 12: 400m (men), 400m (women) November 20: Long Jump (men), Triple Jump (men), Decathlon, Heptathlon November 30: 4x100m (men), 4x100m (women), 400m hurdle (women) UNI HSB PDS VV1948
