Tourism festival enthrals visitors in Manipur

Imphal, Nov 9 (UNI) The tourism festival organised by Manipur tourism department has been attracting a large number of visitors in the state.

The festival had started on November 6 and it would conclude today.

On the last day today the Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association (MMTA) organised a para-sailing event at Koirengei Airfield, Imphal.

The MMTA had also organised white water rafting at Iril river, Imphal and adventure activities at the Adventure Leadership park at Lamdan.

The organisers said special cultural shows were part of the festival.

The exhibitions opened as part of the exhibition at the Mapal Kangjeibung were attracting visitors at large numbers.

The Jet airways has also announced special fares for all flights to Manipur for the festival. The organisers, however, said no foreign tourist could come to Manipur due to restrictions imposed by the Central government.
