Sri Lanka rebels say sink navy attack boat in clash

COLOMBO, Nov 9 (Reuters) Sri Lanka's Tamil Tiger rebels said today they sank a naval fast attack boat in a clash at sea off the island's northern tip, and that a second vessel was on fire and sinking.

The military was not available for comment. Tiger military spokesman Rasiah Ilanthiraiyan said Sea Tiger boats had been conducting naval exercises and accused the Navy of attacking them. He said no Tiger suicide boats were inolved.
