Rashtriya Rifles' soldier killed in Rajouri

Jammu, Nov 9 (UNI) Some unidentified militants shot dead a Rashtriya Rifles' (RR) jawan at his native place in Thana Mandi of the bordering Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today.

The deceased Mohammad Amin, had come to his home at Pargai on leave, the sources said.

On getting the information about Amin's visit, militants last night entered his house and resorted to indiscriminate firing, killing the soldier on the spot, the sources added.

Amin's neighbour, Faiz Hussain, was also wounded in the firing, they said.

Security forces have launched a combing and search operation in the area to nab the militants.
