New record at Junior women shooting championship

Asansol, Nov 9 (UNI) A new record was set up by Preetipun of Infantary in 25 mt Junior Women (Sports Pistol) category in the 16th All India G.V.Mavalankar Shooting Championship competition at Asansol Chandmari range here today.

Earlier, the record held by Suji Bala since 2001 edition of the championship when she scored 270 points.

But Preetipun broke the record netting 271 points, just one point ahead. Rachna Sharma, also of Infantry, stood second scoring 262 points and S.Sayadevi of Manipur came third with 252 points.
