NDA leading in both Nalanda, Bhagalpur seats

Patna, Nov 9: The ruling NDA is leading in both Nalanda and Bhagalpur parliamentary constituencies of Bihar where counting of votes for the November 6 bypoll is in progress.

State election office said here that former union minister and BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain is leading over his arch rival and former Bihar minister Shakuni Chaudhari by over 12 thousand votes form the Bhagalpur seat.

JD(U) candidate Ramswaroop Prasad is leading over the JD(U) rebel candidate Arun Kumar, contesting independently in Nalanda constituency, by a margin of over 30 thousand votes.

Final results for both the seats are expected by this afternoon.
