Miscreants try to set fire to a government office in Imphal

Imphal, Nov 9 (UNI) Manipur police today informed that two unknown miscreants tried to set ablaze the Wangoi SDC office in Imphal West yesterday.

Police said the office peon, who was on duty, immediately raised an alarm and informed them.

A police team managed to douse the fire and brought the situation under control.

'' No major damage has been reported and we are investigating the whole matter,'' a police official said.

The duo were absconding and a man-hunt is on to nab them, police said.
