Market firm in intra-noon trade
Mumbai, Nov 9 (UNI) The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive Index (Sensex) in the intra-noon trade was trading 83.63 points higher than previous close and is currently trading at 13,156.14, stock brokers said.
Satyam Computer rose 2.7 per cent to Rs 426.70, TCS rose 0.1 per cent to Rs 1,064, Software major Infosys gained 0.6 per cent to Rs 2,140. Index heavyweight Reliance Industries (RIL) was up 0.1 per cent to Rs 1,253. FMCG major Hindustan Lever rose 1.5 per cent to Rs 250. Hindalco Industries lost 1.5 per cent to Rs 185.
Refinery shares extended their recent fall. Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) lost 1.4 per cent to Rs 491.50, HPCL shed 0.8 per cent to Rs 306.50 and BPCL lost 0.9 per cent to Rs 373.25.
ICICI Bank rose 1.5 per cent to Rs 795.55, after its ADR rose 1.8 per cent on Wednesday to USD 36.12. ICICI Bank expects interest rates to remain steady, brokers added.
