Maoists warn of attacks on MLAs and police

Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, Nov 9: CPI Maoists today warned the police to immediately stop combing operations in the forest areas, threatning to otherwise continue attacks on MLAs and policemen.

In a statement here Nallamala Forest Division Secretary Sagar said the armed-struggle of the Maoists would continue, despite some losses and surrender by some of its cadre.

''The complacency of the police would be shortlived. One blow received by the movement would be replied with two blows'', he warned.

He said some ''warriors'' die in a war and more ''warriors'' would continue the war. The movement could not be watered down with some ''fake encounters'' and some surrenders.

The Y S Rajasekhara Reddy government which was indulging in ''large scale fake encounters'' would have to pay the price for it, he added.
