HP spending Rs 5.45 crore on roads, bridges in Pangi Valley
Shimla, Nov 9 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Government is spending Rs 5.45 crore on construction of roads and bridges in Pangi Valley of Chamba district during this financial year, local MLA Thakur Singh Bharmouri said.
Presiding over the Project Advisory Committee Review meeting atKillar in Pangi Valley yesterday, he said Rs 5.45 crore were being spent on construction of roads and bridges in the Valley sub division only.
Mr Bharmouri said horticulture and agriculture activities were being promoted in the Valley to strengthen the economy of the people of the area.
Agriculture Diversification Programme would be implemented in all the panchayats of the Valley during the next financial programme, while demonstration plots would be set up in these panchayats and would provide latest information about new developments in farmers, he said.
He said 38 community apple gardens set up in the valley had produced 230 metric tonne of apple this year.
