Haryana Seed Agency rejects cotton seed varieties

Chandigarh, Nov 9 (UNI) The Haryana State Seed Certification Agency has rejected the seed plots of two seed producing companies of Sirsa-- Shiv Shakti Seed for cotton seed variety of HD-123 and guar seed variety of HG-365 and Dhan Laxmi Seed for the cotton seed variety of HD-123.

A spokesman of the Agency today said that an inspection of foundation seed plot of different crops sown under certification programme during the current kharif season was conducted by a monitoring team.

The seed plots of these companies were rejected on-the-spot by the monitoring team.

He said the quality of the seeds sown by Shiv Shakti Seeds and Dhan Laxmi Seeds was not found satisfactory during the inspection and hence it was decided to reject the seed varieties sown by the two companies.
