Haryana delivers 2 lakh tonnes rice to Central Pool
Chandigarh, Nov 9 (UNI) The Haryana government has delivered 2.06 lakh metric tonnes rice to the Central Pool so far, as against 1.22 lakh metric tonnes during the corresponding period last year.
While stating this here today, Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan said six government procuring agencies had delivered 1,17,948 metric tonnes of rice while remaining 88,023 metric tonnes was delivered by the millers to that Central Pool.
He said that of the state agencies, HAFED had delivered 45,738 tonnes of rice to the Central pool, Food and Supply had delivered 41,810 tonnes, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation 12.8840 tonnes, Haryana Warehousing Corporation 3699 tonnes and Confed had delivered 411 metric tonnes of rice.
He said that of the districts, Kaithal district had delivered 49,643 tonnes of rice, Karnal 4905 tonnes, Kurukshetra 41,295 tonnes, Ambala 2142 tonnes, Fatehabad 14,839 tonnes, Yamunanagar 1269 tonnes, Sirsa 6920 tonnes, Faridabad 340 tonnes, Panchkula 2640 tonnes, Jind 190 tonnes and Sonepat had delivered 11,982 tonnes of rice.
