CPI urges SHRC to cancel registration of lands
Hyderabad, Nov 9 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (CPI) today submitted a memorandum to Andhra Pradesh Human Rights Commission Chairman Justice Subhashan Reddy, requesting him to cancel the registration of lands acquired and alienated by a former teacher Rajaiah.
Party State Secretary K Narayana, who submitted the memorandum urged the Commission to hand over the land to the poor farmers from whom they were acquired through GPA.
Mr Narayana also requested the Commission to examine the 'violation' of the Land Ceiling Act by Rajaiah and demanded that the former teacher be arrested under the Land Grabbing Act.
