Controversial land not registered in my name: Chief Whip

Hyderabad, Nov 9 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh government Chief Whip N Kiran Kumar Reddy today said the controversial land in the MLA Colony of the upfront Jubilee Hills area was not yet registered in his name.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Kiran said for registering the land in his name government clearance was needed. It was wrong on the part of anyone saying that he had either occupied or annexed the government land, he added.

He said that he had only constructed a wall in the controversial land and the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad was free to demolish it.

Meanwhile, a newspaper report said that Kiran Kumar Reddy grabbed over 700 square feet of land, worth more than Rs 1.5 crore in the posh area.

All the opposition parties were demanding the government to take back the land and to take action against him. Some parties had even demanded the resignation of the Chief whip to give way to a proper enquiry.
