Briefing mediapersons after the cabinet meeting, Finance Minister P Chidambaram said that the agreement shall be in force for a period of ten years.
''Till date, India has already signed bilateral investment promotion and protection agreement (BIPA) with sixty countries.
The latest was the Slovak Republic, with which a BIPA was signed in September 2006,'' he said.
This decision will help in increasing the investment between the two countries, Mr Chidambaram added.
