Prakash condemns Maharashtra Dy. CM for his letter on border issue
Bangalore, Nov 8 (UNI) Karnataka Home Minister M P Prakash today strongly condemned Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil for writing to Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan suggesting an alliance over the border issue with the State (Karnataka).
''Mr Patil's attitude goes very much against the federal system of the country. I hope Mr Achuthananandan will ignore such letter,'' he added.
According to reports appearing in a section of the press, Mr Patil has written Mr Achuthanandan suggesting formation of an alliance over the border dispute with Karnataka (on Belgaum and Kasargod).
Talking to newsmen here, Mr Prakash also criticised National Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar for keeping mum over the matter.
He said the State government has decided to set up the Karnataka Law University in Hubli and the issue would come up before the Cabinet which is meeting on November 10.
Mr Prakash said the pillion riders of the two-wheelers have been exempted from wearing Helmet.
