Noted eye surgeon Hari Yashwant Bakre passes away
Jalgaon, Nov 8 (UNI) Noted eye surgeon Hari Yashwant Bakre died today at his residence here, due to oldage.
He was 94 and is survived by his wife, a son and three daughters.
He was honoured by the National Blind Association for his contribution to the visually challenged. He worked 40 years for prevention of blindness and held hundreds of eye camps and many times operated without money, sources close to him said.
He was also the founder president of Jalgaon rose society and was connected with various educational Institutions.
Dr Bakre was cremated this evening in Vaikunthdham.
