Johor Tigers overcome Kingfisher First In Indian Open Polo

New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) A five-goal blitz in last chukker enabled Johor Tigers overwhelm Kingfisher First 15-9 in opening match of the Reid and Taylor Indian Open Polo Championship here today.

Martin Ravina and Santiago Estrada spearheaded Johor Tigers' challenge as they warded off Kingfisher First attacks in a match which was closely contested till the penultimate chukker.

World Cupper Vishal Singh kept Kingfisher First in the match scoring seven goals but star-studded Johor Tigers pumped in the goals in the last stages of the game to emerge winner.

Martin Ravina chipped in six goals and Estrada contributed four in the total of 15 goals scored by the winners.
